A collection of Acrylic Paintings inspired by our Midwest surroundings. Interesting trees, endless arrays of clouds and colorful skies, four distinct seasons, lakes, rivers, forests, hills and farms makes the Midwest my favorite subject.

Clouds and trees are two of my favorite subjects. I was inspired by a storm photo but combined it with a farm land picture I thought would give the storm the magnitude that I saw in it. Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas Image Size: H24 x W24 Price: $835

While searching for a wedding venue for our daughter, we walked the trail at Friess Lake WI. There we came upon this crazy tree surrounded by trees that were tall and straight like wooden soldiers. The title came before the painting. Acrylic 16x20 on Studio Wrap Canvas Available $520

Near Mankato MN, this double falls was once painted by African American Artist Robert Duncanson in 1862. This is the lower falls flowing down the jagged stone wall into a golden riverbed below. 14x18 on Gallery Wrap Canvas $420

Hiking midwest trails captivate me during any season. Summer can have a mystical feel filled with lush greens and silence only broken by the rustling brush from little forest critters. 30x15 on studio wrap canvas $630

Cave Point is a rugged coast where the Lake Michigan waters come to life. The under laying rock shelves create waves even in the shallow waters. The yellow birch trees among the evergreens and red clinging vines make fall a great time to visit. 20x20 Acrylic on Gallery Wrap Canvas $585

Our boat trip to the Apostle Islands started out foggy and uninspiring. The further out we went the brighter it got. Finally we approached the outer most island and the fog lifted. The water was almost like glass, allowing the boat captain to get close enough to touch the stone surface. Edelweiss is a flower that grows in the toughest Alpine conditions. The name translates to Nobel White and is a symbol of devotion to growing in those harsh environments. 5x7 on Studio Canvas $90

The Clark family had major influence on the Mequon community during Wisconsin's early statehood. The simple red chair beckons us to visit this stately home on the hill. 11x14 in black frame $310

Virmond Park was swallowed up in dense fog and the haze of Canadian wildfire smoke. contemplating my subject the sun began to pierce the haze creating distinct shadows. This dry table now offered a shady refuge. 10x8 Framed $205

Mineral Point's Art Center features historic buildings. The 1830's cabin was origanally a school house. Later moved and added to a stone cottage. Last occupied in 1958 Framed Acrylic on Masonite. $300
